How do I send a picture to you if I'm having problems uploading one with my ad?

You can click HERE to send your pictures to us.  Be sure to fill all the information in on the form.  This will help us match your picture with your ad.

How secure is my credit card information?

We use a Geotrust certificate for Secure Socket Layer (SSL) transactions. Geotrust certificates offer strong RSA-based encryption for secure transactions. All of this means that your credit card information is sent directly to the credit card processor in a very secure manner, so that nobody else can see it. That protects you by ensuring that nobody but you and the credit card processor will see your card.

Does Carolina Bargain Hunter share it's customer database with third party companies?

No.  None of the information entered when you sign up as user is shared!

Does Carolina Bargain Hunter charge a percentage of sales on the site?

No.  Prices are a per ad basis.

How do I sign up or register?

Simply click on the sign up now button at the top of any page and follow the instructions.  It is free and very simple.

Why should I sign up if I'm not selling anything?

When you create an account, you are given a favorites folder where you can store ads that have sparked your interest.  This will also allow you to communicate with the seller of an ad. 

If I sell something, who contacts the buyer?

You do.  Carolina Bargain Hunter does not monitor communication between buyer and seller.

When I purchase an ad, what is the business name that will show up on my credit card statement?

Matrix Systems.  This is the parent company of Carolina Bargain Hunter and the name on the credit card statements.

What is a featured ad?

This is an ad that shows up at the top of the home page.  The thumbnail picture and text will be larger then normal ads posted.  This draws attention to all ads in the featured section.

What is an attention getter?

When you are placing an ad, you have the option to add highlighted text to help your ad stand out in the list.

How do I upload my photos?

To upload a photo from your computer, simply place the image on your desktop.  When placing your ad, you will be asked to upload your photo.  Click the browse button and locate the photo you saved on your desktop.  The final step will be to click the upload button. The first photo you upload will be the thumbnail photo to the left of your ad.

How current is Carolina Bargain Hunter?

The site is updated on a daily basis.  The staff at Carolina Bargain Hunter constantly checks the site for old ads and problems.  The seller who places the ad is also able to delete or display a sold sign on their ad.  This feature can be found when editing your ads.  This will prevent unwanted communication when the item is sold. 

How do I find my lost password?

Simply click on the login button.  Under the sign in button, you have an option to have your password emailed to you.

Do I need to log out?

Although not necessary, it is advisable to log out after each session.

How can I get a refund?

Carolina Bargain Hunter only issues refunds if the staff made an error.  Once an ad is placed by a seller, there will be no refunds
